Pre-Christmas shopping can be hard on our minds, bodies and wallets. Most of us do it wanting to show those around how much we care about them. We'd like to make it easier for you by offering some generous offers on Gift Voucher. Adding a personal recommendation for a practitioner you respect with the gift voucher shows extra care and attention. Plus they are easy to post - bonus! So what's the offer? So this month is full of changes for me! Meadowlark Healthy for Sport has now closed and I've been welcomed into fantastic space at the Healthy Life Centre in Bread Street. I am still present at Meadowlark Yoga, working from their Moon Studio, no.43 Argyle Place. Having now seen clients at both places for a couple of week I feel really positive about the move(s) - I have two beautifully comfortable spaces to work from and I couldn't ask for nicer people to work with. Do premenstrual symptoms wreak havoc in your life? Feeling less than well most of the time? Enter into relaxation/healing mode with Women's Wellbeing Package focused on balancing the monthly cycle to help you feel renewed and restored. Get in touch to book or carry on reading to find out more.
Relaxing and being aware of your body (as you might be in a Shiatsu session or similar) has its own side-effect - the aches that have faded into perception background suddenly get a spotlight, as do emotions and thoughts we keep well hidden. I am certainly not the only person who has experienced feeling like EVERYTHING in my body is tense, achy and just plain WRONG at the start of a Shiatsu or a massage treatment. This is the start of the process of resolving/ transforming these stale states of being into a healthier you, but it can be a bit of a shock. I feel so fortunate to be working from Meadowlark Yoga - it's full of positive open people and is dedicated to life of health, vitality and balance on every level. I can't help but smile every time I go in either to work or to a yoga class. Would you like to come along on a wee tour? I'll tell you about the new place and tempt you to visit with two offers along the way. To see my working days and prices please read my page . You can also book online. Shiatsu is a gentle, safe massage treatment to have during pregnancy and beyond. The main benefits are relaxation, improved sleep and reduction in aches and discomfort that can sometimes make this a really challenging time. Here's my experience of Shiatsu during my pregnancy. What is Shiatsu?
Shiatsu translates as ‘finger pressure’ and is based on traditional Japanese massage. Combining acupressure, massage, flowing movement and joint rotations helps to disperse tension, reduce pain, promote relaxation and healthy functioning of the body systems (circulation, breathing, digestion etc.). Shiatsu therapists are guided by their experience & knowledge of physiology and traditional Chinese medicine and apply pressure using fingers, thumbs, palms and elbows and combine it with other techniques. |
