8th of March is the International Women's Day and this year in the spirit of support for our fellow humans (female or otherwise) we are offering seated Shiatsu sessions in return for charity donations, which we pledge to go towards those causes that champion womens' welfare. Time: 11:30 - 3pm on Wednesday 8 March Location: The Healthy Life Centre, 35-37 Bread Street EH3 9AL What's the deal?: 15 minute seated Shiatsu session, we ask for a minimum £5 donation EVERYONE IS WELCOME! It is truly amazing what fifteen minutes of safe, supportive touch can achieve. We would like to celebrate it and show how much just a bit of self-care can achieve. Perhaps this might be a catalyst for you give more hugs and shoulder rubs, perhaps you might decide to start walking a bit more, or simply enjoy a pre/post lunch spot of relaxation/ sanity break - who knows?
Seated Shiatsu is surprisingly versatile - not just a shoulder rub, we will work on whole of your back, arms, necks and even legs and feet. And yes, your shoulders will thank you! If you can't make it on Wednesday but would like to participate in future please get in touch

What is Shiatsu?
Shiatsu translates as ‘finger pressure’ and is based on traditional Japanese massage. Combining acupressure, massage, flowing movement and joint rotations helps to disperse tension, reduce pain, promote relaxation and healthy functioning of the body systems (circulation, breathing, digestion etc.). Shiatsu therapists are guided by their experience & knowledge of physiology and traditional Chinese medicine and apply pressure using fingers, thumbs, palms and elbows and combine it with other techniques. |
